Terms of Service

Last updated October 17, 2026

These terms apply to everything on luketv.org ("The Hanger"): the print cost calculator, print requests, popular prints and every print made for you. By using the site or sending a request, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or send a request.

1. Quotes are estimates

Calculator prices are automatic estimates based on the file or link you give and the current rates. They aren't an offer or a contract. Luke confirms the final price, colors and timing before printing and can change or decline a quote at any time, for example when slicing shows different numbers or a mistake in the calculator. "Ready in about" dates are estimates too, not promises.

2. Requests and accepting a job

Sending a request asks Luke to print something; it isn't an order until Luke accepts it. Luke may decline any request for any reason, including designs he isn't allowed to print, things that can't be printed well, or anything unsafe or illegal.

3. Your files and designs

You are responsible for the files and links you send. By sending a request, you confirm that you made the design, own the rights to it, or have permission from its designer (or its license) to have it printed for you. You agree that you, not The Hanger, are responsible for any claim that a print you asked for infringes someone's copyright, trademark, patent or other rights, and you agree to cover any costs The Hanger faces because of such a claim. The Hanger doesn't check every design's rights and doesn't claim ownership of any design. Files you send are used only to make your print.

4. What a 3D print is (and isn't)

Prints are made to order on a hobby-grade 3D printer. Expect layer lines, small marks, slight size differences and colors that don't exactly match a screen. Prints are decorative and hobby items. They are not made or tested for:

Small parts can be a choking hazard. Keep prints with small parts away from young children and pets. You use every print at your own risk.

5. Problems with a print

If a print arrives broken or clearly different from what was agreed, say so when you receive it. Luke will reprint it or refund what you paid for that print, at his choice. That is the only remedy for a faulty print. Normal 3D-print imperfections described above aren't faults.

6. No warranty

The site, the calculator and all prints are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and merchantability, to the fullest extent the law allows.

7. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, The Hanger and Luke are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any injury, loss or damage that comes from using, misusing or relying on a print, a quote or the site. In every case, the total liability for anything related to a print or the site is limited to the amount you paid for that print. Some places don't allow some of these limits; there, they apply as far as allowed.

8. What the site records

For every calculator quote: the file name or design title, its license, filament types, colors and grams, print time and the price. Not the model file and nothing about you. If you send a request, Luke also gets what you type in the request form and, if you choose, the model file. That information is used only to handle your request. Your email (checked with a code we send you) is used only to reach you about your request, tell you when its status changes, or how to pay for it. Anyone with your request code can see its status on the status page (the print's name, dates, status and price, never your name or contact details), so keep the code to yourself. If you sign up to hear when Script Hanger is ready, that email is used only for that one launch note.

9. Designs from other sites

Links and designs from MakerWorld or other sites belong to their designers and are covered by their own licenses and those sites' terms. The Hanger isn't connected to, or endorsed by, those sites or designers.

10. Changes

These terms can change. The date at the top shows the latest version, and the version on this page when you send a request is the one that applies to it.

Questions about these terms? Mention them in a print request and Luke will get back to you.
